Ape and Porter at the service of mobile food
This year’s SIGEP, the International Ice Cream, Pastry and Bakery Exhibition, held in Rimini from 20 to 24 January 2018, recorded some amazing figures.
Over 200,000 visitors flocked to this true showcase of the entrepreneurial talent of people who have turned their passion into a successful business.
Many of the professional exhibitors entertained the visitors with exciting competitions in the ice cream parlour, pastry and coffee sector.
Piaggio Commercial Vehicles presented its street food products to meet the more specific needs of these entrepreneurs or the people who dream of emulating them. First and foremost was the Euro4 version of the Ape Classic, transformed into an ultra-light ice-cream van equipped with an advanced independent refrigeration system.
However, visitors were equally intrigued by the surprising flexibility of Piaggio Porter Chassis, ideal for transformation into an ice-cream van for food truckers who plan much longer tours in terms of distance travelled.
