The Global Fund Replenishment Conference takes place today, October 10th, 2019. Hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palais des Congrès in Lyon, France, Replenishment takes place every 3 years and gathers government leaders, CEOs, policymakers and high-level donors to pledge critical money and mobilize partners in the fight to end AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
The Global Fund’s Sixth Replenishment seeks to raise $14 billion USD in order to save 16 million lives between 2021 and 2023, which would cut the mortality rate across AIDS, TB, and malaria by half, prevent 234 million new infections and get us back on track to end these diseases by 2030.
Vespa has supported (RED) in rallying consumers around the AIDS fight leading up to the Replenishment conference. Today, two Parisian Motoplex will host a (RED) window to inform people about the project of (Vespa 946)RED and how Vespa has been supporting (RED) since 2017.
