The Piaggio company is founded

In 1920, Piaggio adopted a new corporate structure, with Attilio Odero as Chairman and Rinaldo Piaggio as Managing Director. Determined to develop the aeronautical sector, Rinaldo Piaggio hired engineers Giovanni Pegna and Giuseppe Gabrielli, assigning them the design of the first prototype of the Rondine aircraft.
