Giancarlo Milianti has been appointed head of the Piaggio Group Personnel & Organisation function, reporting to the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Milianti, 40, was born in Lucca and holds a degree in Law from the University of Pisa. After an initial professional experience with the Industrialists Union of Pisa, he worked in the telecommunications industry for ten years, first with the Marconi Group and later with the Ericsson Group, holding senior positions in the area of human resources management and industrial relations.

In his new post, Milianti will be focusing on the development and training of human resources – to strengthen integration among the Group’s national and international units as part of the on-going global growth of Piaggio’s industrial and commercial operations – and on management of labour relations.

Giancarlo Milianti takes over from Luciana Franciosi, who remains with the Piaggio Group as head of the Customer & Dealer Satisfaction System function, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer Finance.
