NEW PIAGGIO PORTER MAXXI

As part of the technical and styling evolution of the entire Porter range, the new Porter Maxxi has been radically revised with new styling, a new interior and new technical features, while still remaining the commercial vehicle offering the best load capacity/size ratio in its category: In spite of its incredible 1,100 Kg payload capacity, Porter Maxxi retains the compact dimensions and extraordinary agility of the Porter range, making it ideal for intracity use.

Porter Maxxi, the new Porter with dual rear wheels, combines the advantages of a compact commercial vehicle - ease of use, agility and low running costs - with a payload capacity matched only by much larger and much more expensive vehicle.
Porter Maxxi: available as four different variants and also offered with the innovative, environmentally friendly Eco-Power dual fuel petrol/LPG engine choice.

The new Maxxi adds even more to the already impressive qualities of the Porter range.

Piaggio Commercial Vehicles presents the new Porter Maxxi, the range topping version joining the standard Porter variants, offering even more advantages in terms of payload capacity and versatility. Porter Maxxi is a unique vehicle that builds even further on the class beating characteristics that have made the Porter range such a success.

  • Porter Maxxi carries 1,100 Kg: translating to the best ratio between weight and payload in its class.
Porter Maxxi maintains the dimensions, ease of use and affordable running costs of a compact vehicle, while offering a payload capacity which, until now, would only have been possible with a much larger, costlier and more difficult to use commercial vehicle. Porter Maxxi can carry an incredible 1,100 Kg of payload with a GVW of just 2,200 Kg, translating to the best payload/weight ratio in its class.
  • Compact dimensions and incredible manoeuvrability.
Measuring only 1.56 m in width (just 16 cm more that the Porter), Porter Maxxi is remarkably nimble even in the tightest, most challenging spaces, thanks also to a turning circle of just 4.6 m - by far the best in its class, where the average is 5.3 m.
A class-beating size/payload ratio and facilitated loading and unloading make Porter Maxxi the perfect vehicle for a wide variety of applications. Maxxi is particularly well suited to use on construction sites, where the benefits of a large payload capacity in an incredibly agile vehicle are most apparent.
Whether in the busiest city traffic or in situations with structures and obstacles limiting accessibility, the Porter Maxxi is always extremely easy and intuitive to drive. This is what also makes the Porter Maxxi ideal for light industrial and urban maintenance applications.
  • Environmentally aware.
Following up on the commercial success of the Porter Eco-power, presented by Piaggio Commercial Vehicles in February 2008, and in keeping with Piaggio strategy, in which the environment is a top priority, the new Porter Maxxi is also available with the innovative Eco-power dual fuel (petrol/LPG with electronically controlled sequential injection) as well as the conventional 1.3, 16V, Euro 4 petrol unit, developed for optimum performance even in the most extreme load conditions.
  • Big on economy, too.
Porter Maxxi maximises transport efficiency by offering the best value and performance for money in the commercial vehicle market.
And, with a GVW of just 2.2 tonnes, Porter Maxxi falls within the under 2.5 tonne insurance bracket, making it the only commercial vehicle with a payload capacity of 1,100 Kg in the Italian insurance group “B”.
  • Robust and sturdy.
The reinforced chassis and dual rear wheels – ensuring stability and safety even when fully loaded – are design features that set the Porter Maxxi apart from its rivals. The styling has also been revised: the front boasts an all new design expressing robustness and sturdiness.
  • In all versions and for all applications.
Porter Maxxi is available as fixed deck, long tipper bed and short tipper bed versions, all of which with an all-flat load bed (with no obstructions within the bed and with two dropsides and a hinged tailboard) to facilitate loading and unloading. The chassis variant takes the versatility of this new vehicle even further, as it can be easily outfitted with any special equipment solutions desired to cater for a practically endless range of applications.

The same Maxxi but better.

Piaggio Porter Maxxi has been radically revised: with updated design, equipment and interior trim levels.

More features and an all new style: the new Porter Maxxi does not only introduce a whole raft of improvements, it has also been treated to the same radically restyling applied across the entire Porter range, giving it an even more modern and attractive look.

One look at the completely revised front is enough to appreciate the difference. The hexagonal logo, worn by the Porter since its inception, has been replaced by the new Piaggio Group badge. This symbol, set in the elegant new grille, echoes a styling detail that first appeared on the Vespa and then the Ape over 60 years ago.

The new logo is set in a grille defined by a predominant central element that expresses the family tie between the vehicle and the other models of the Piaggio Group. The name of the vehicle in relief lettering lends further character to the face and it boasts a metallic finish for a premium look.

The lights are an integral part of the look of the new Piaggio Porter Maxxi, for an even more distinctive and aggressive appearance. While remaining true to its mission as a commercial vehicle, the style of the Porter Maxxi expresses a strong character. The carlike design is also emphasised by the new bumper with a lower 'mouth' element with a honeycomb grille (a typically Italian styling cue), available either colour keyed with the bodywork – for an elegant, carlike appearance – in the Extra trim level, or unpainted - for a more practical, purposeful look - on the standard version.

Interior: more comfort and ergonomics.

New outside, new inside. Porter Maxxi has not only been refreshed on the outside, but also gains a totally updated interior, where the user spends most of his or her working time. Piaggio's designers have worked to improve space and comfort even further, resulting in the perfect solution for tackling even the toughest jobs in complete comfort. The driving position and dashboard have been completely redesigned, while the new instrument panel is more comprehensively equipped and modern.

Making life easier for the driver are a number of practical new oddment storage bins; while the vehicle is also predisposed for an Mp3 compatible car stereo and a satellite navigator.

The new interior trim is made from durable and easily washable latest generation material, making it ideal for even the toughest jobs.

New features, new technology.

The radically revised styling of the Porter Maxxi is just one part of an overall improvement to its technical content and features, which are all the more important in a commercial vehicle, as they make it more efficient, comfortable and enjoyable to use.

The new Porter Maxxi has received a number of key updates: one of the most important of all is Electric Power Steering, which lets the driver make full use of the vehicle's incredible agility.

The new Extra trim level.

To cater for customers demanding a vehicle with more generous equipment and superior comfort, Piaggio also offers the new Porter Maxxi in the Extra trim level.

The Extra version of the new Porter Maxxi gains electric windows, fog lights and an antitheft system with central locking as standard. The Extra is also distinguished by body coloured bumpers, which further emphasise its intracity personality.

Colours

The new Porter Maxxi is available in the colours Blu Action, White Silk, Rock Sand, Orange Sunrise and Red Energy.
