Mandello del Lario, 13 October 2008
The Berlin Police Force is to use Moto Guzzi Norge 850 motorcycles.
The Italian motorbike constructor, a member of the Piaggio Group based in Mandello del Lario, presented the winning bid for the contract tendered by the Berlin Land’s Interior Ministry for the supply of 35 motorcycles for the city police force. The vehicles, manufactured in Italy, will be delivered by the end of the year.

Available with 850 and 1200cc engines and fitted with a full front fairing, the Moto Guzzi Norge is the Eagle brand’s top tourer. The bike is powered by the characteristic Guzzi 90° V-twin engine, with a 6-speed gearbox and shaft final drive.

Named in honour of an illustrious forebear, the mythical Moto Guzzi G.T. 500 Norge, in 2006 the Guzzi tourer was the star of the fourteen-strong bike team that replicated Giuseppe Guzzi’s 1928 test ride to Lapland on the first Norge.
