Daniele Bandiera

Daniele Bandiera, Operations General Manager, Chairman and CEO at Moto Guzzi ,until 11.13.2006 head of the Piaggio Brand Unit, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He joined Piaggio in March 2005. Mr Bandiera began his professional career in 1975, in the Eridiana group, where, in 1977, he was appointed head of factory Cost Accounting. In 1982 he joined the Finmeccanica group, and in 1984 was appointed Supply Chain Manager for mechanics and bodies (Arese) at Alfa Romeo Auto S.p.A. In 1987 he began his career in the Fiat group, where he worked until 2004, holding increasingly senior posts until his appointment as Chairman of the Alfa Romeo B.U. in February 2002. More specifically: from 1994 to 1995 Melfi Factory Manager and CEO of Sata S.p.A.; from January 1996 to September 1996 Mirafiori Factory Manager; from September 1996 to 1999 Fiat Auto W.W. Vehicle Production manager, Sata and Sevel CEO, board member Polska and China J.V.; from 2000 to June 2001 he was Fiat Auto W.W VP for Production, a member of the Fiat Auto management committee, Chairman Sata, Sevel, FMA and Fiat Polska; from June 2001 to February 2002 he was W.W. VP for Product Development and a member of both boards of the Fiat-GM joint ventures. In 2000 he received the Automotive News Eurostar Award for manufacturing.
