Skill development

Highlights

The policy objectives of training are:

  • continuous updating
  • the alignment of individual and organizational skills to levels reflecting the business evolution and corporate strategies
  • the development of competitive excellence on a broad scale

Training addresses all roles, levels of responsibility, professional groups and individuals who are motivated to improving their own professional value in keeping with the company's development and its evolving corporate culture.

The main priority is to continuously update and bring individual and organisational skills to levels reflecting the business evolution and corporate strategies, and to disseminate behaviours geared for competitive excellence on a broad scale, in keeping with Piaggio managerial and professional skill models.

Managerial training is focused on managerial policies, managerial skills and/or company strategy, and is planned on an annual basis in order to:

  • develop and disseminate the ability to deal with critical processes of innovation and organisational change in newly appointed young employees;
  • provide the Group the instruments and methodologies needed to manage the results and organisational resources necessary to effectively interpret their role, based on the company's vision and business needs;
  • value talented resources with specific initiatives for their professional advancement.

Professional training is geared to increase the technical and specialist knowledge of the resource, to develop and consolidate the skills required by the Piaggio model for each Professional Family. Professional training is planned annually on the basis of an evaluation of skills within the company and of detailed analyses of training needs conducted by each company function.

Piaggio encourages the sharing of know-how within the Group by promoting the organisation of events by internal trainers intended to encourage the exchange of cutting-edge methods and expertise developed and acquired within the company, as part of a policy of continuous improvement.
