How to get to Pontedera
The nearest airport is Pisa’s Galileo Galilei which is 25 km or around 15 minutes’ drive from Pontedera. Take the FI-PI-LI motorway (autostrada) heading towards Florence and exit at the Pontedera off-ramp. Alternatively there is also the Amerigo Vespucci airport in Florence, 60 km drive away from us. From here you take the FI-PI-LI motorway (autostrada) in the Pisa direction and exit at the Pontedera off-ramp.
Pontedera railway station is on the Pisa Florence line about 20 minutes’ from Pisa (20 km) and 40 minutes from Florence. To reach Pontedera from Rome or Milan you would need to change trains at Florence station (Santa Maria Novella) having arrived on one of the numerous commuter trains or a high speed train. From Santa Maria Novella trains leave for Pontedera every 40 minutes. The Piaggio premises are a very quick walk away immediately behind the station.
The easiest way to get to Pontedera is to take the FI-PI-LI motorway which joins Florence, Pisa and Livorno and to get off at one of the two Pontedera off-ramps. The motorway joins the A1 at Florence and is directly accessible from the Florence-Signa off-ramp. Going in the Pisa-Livorno direction you reach the Pontedera off-ramp after about 40km. Arriving from the A12 Genova-Rosignano, follow the indications for PISA CENTRO in order to get directly onto the FI-PI-LI motorway. After 20km you will come to Pontedera (second off-ramp for Pontedera coming from Pisa).
